What is Life Coaching ?
I think the simplest way to explain it is helping a client move from where they are to where they want to be.
The list of what Life coaching is not could obviously go on for ever. So I will just cover some of the more common misconceptions. Coaching is not Mentoring, Counselling or Therapy.
How does it work
Now you have a better understanding of What it is and is not how can coaching help you. Unfortunately in this fast-paced world we often find ourselves like a twig that has fallen into a river and end up just being swept along day after day, month after month, year after year. Until maybe we get caught at the edge of the river and have time to reflect where we are and where we want to be. Now if where we want to be appears to upstream coaching can show you that you have the resources to get there. As your coach I will listen without judgement and help you explore the options and develop your step by step plan for your solution, keeping you accountable along the way.
The majority of my clients come to me because they have feelings of being stuck. This comes from the disparity of your current situation not aligning with where you know you could be. Just like a sat nav in your car, I can assist you in taking the right road to your destination.
As your coach, through asking appropriate questions and or utilising appropriate tools, I will help you find the needed level of thinking to see the solution for yourself. My strap line "turning stumbling blocks into stepping stones" embodies this.

Why do I need a Life Coach?
The simple straightforward answer is - you don't need a coach !
However, you will find that just about every successful person at the top of their game has had some form of coaching to help get them there. No one says you have to change. No one says you have to realise your dreams and goals. No one says you have to fulfil your true potential. You can always choose to stay just where you are.
How does it work?
The coaching relationship will typically be over a set period of time such as 12 weeks with a review half way. Once your thinking has opened up and you realise the possibilities available often the destination goal changes.
